Medals section
presents laureates awarded on the proposal of Leontief Centre with
medals in the field of economics, established by scientific
organizations in memory of Wassily Leontief.
International Leontief Award “For Contribution to Economic Reforms”
In February 2005 the Public Committee on awarding at Leontief Centre
established the International Leontief medal in nomination for
“Contribution to Economic Reforms” in commemoration of Wassily
Leontief Centenary. According to the Award Statement the medal is
given to outstanding Russian and International scholars and
specialists who contribute personally to the development of economic
science, creation of effective institutions of market economy and
conditions for sustainable economic growth.

Leontief Medal “For Achievements in Economy”
Leontief
medal “For Achievements in Economy”
was established by the Russian Academy of Natural Science in 2002 in
cooperation with the International Centre for Social and Economic
Research Leontief Centre. According to the Award Statement the Award
is given to scientists, statesman and practitioners for their
outstanding contributions to development of economic science and
Russian economy reforming.
Since 2003 the Leontief Centre has been proposing its nominees for
awarding with medal “For Achievements in Economy”.
